  2.                                 PLAYING SONGS
  3.  
  4.    The PLAY function on the main menu allows you to listen to a song that you
  5. have created or one that you have retrieved from disk. You can play the song
  6. one note at a time using the SPACEBAR key on the keyboard, or you can have
  7. your computer play the song for you by hitting the = key.
  8.  
  9.    The PLAY screen displays two song lines at once.  The current line contains
  10. a diamond shaped cursor which moves to the right as notes are played.  The
  11. other line is always the next line to be played.  When the cursor reaches the
  12. end of the current line it jumps to the beginning of this next line and
  13. continues.  As the song plays, the current line changes from top to bottom to
  14. top, so that the next line is always visible.

  16.    The KEYPAD keys (group of keys on the right side of the keyboard) are used
  17. to move around in the song and to get back to the beginning of the song when
  18. the end is reached.  Use the left and right arrow keys to move the cursor a
  19. note at a time.  To change lines, use the Pg Up and Pg Dn keys.  To move to
  20. the beginning or end of the song, use the Home and End keys respectively.

  23. other screens.
